2011-06-01 | Neighbourhood festival in Hodimont

Between 25 and 31 May, the district's residents and local associations sent out all manner of invitations. Working in collaboration with the SUN project, the non-profit organisation La Belle Diversité, the AMO Le Cap initiative and the Terrain d’aventure project, the Hodimont community support service and district committee organised a week of social events for the residents of Hodimont. The aim of these events was to bring residents from different areas of the district together over a drink and a slice of cake.

2010-11-18 | Inhabitants of Hodimont mobilise for greening their neighbourhood!

Today, inhabitants of a social housing building greened and flowered the surroundings of their building, in order to improve the quality of the urban landscape in their district. This project was proposed by social workers active in the neighbourhood, following the call for collective greening projects launched by the City of Verviers in the frame of the SUN project. It was also an opportunity for inhabitants and city practitioners to meet and discuss over a coffee and a piece of pie.

2010-06-04 | Visit to Green Roofs

Organisation of visits to green roofs in Liège, Venlo and Valkenburg and meeting with the architects and contractors from the quarters Saint-Léonard and Hodimont.

2010-01-15 | Vegetaliz'action

Beginning of January 2010 were launched both in Hodimont (Verviers) and St-Leonard (Liège) calls for collective projects for greening the public spaces of the neighbourhoods. These calls were addressed to inhabitants, associations, shopkeepers, companies and schools of the neighbourhoods. The objective is to improve, together, the environmental and lanscape quality of these neighbourhoods which are perceived as very "grey".

Training session on Rational Use of Energy for local SUN partners (15 persons) in St-Léonard / Eco'Hom organisation, including visit of dwellings representative of the buildings in Hodimont and St-Léonard.
